- Alignment Adjustment: Ensure the patient's head is in neutral alignment, avoiding tipping or forward flexation. Secure the cheeks and base of the skull firmly.
- Second Responder's Assistance: The second responder approaches from behind, locking elbows on the shoulders and supporting the side of the head to create an A-frame.
- Collar Application: With the immobilization secured, proceed to measure and fit the cervical collar while the patient remains in a standing position.
